Pachamama People, Nich Von & Samsara Wellness Center are teaming up to offer you a unique course on ceremonial drumming.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn a variety of Indigenous, Native American, and other traditional medicine drum songs calling in Spirit for healing, celebration, health and wellness.

The intent of the course is first and foremost to create safe space, and to give permission to find and honor the rhythms that lie within each of us.  The focus is play, which is defined as having no agenda, and the circles are not so much a teaching as an experience.  Our drum courses are always a safe space for the beginner or advanced drummer.  

Circle will be held Thursday Nights Starting April 5th,2018  for 4 weeks at 7:15-8:45PM 

$20 per Class or $60 for all 4 Classes

-Bring your own drum or percussion instruments or use ours(first come first served) options to purchase drums will be available.

Yoga Therapeutics- Day 1

Yoga Therapy is simply and profoundly good alignment, balanced action, and a positive attitude. Come learn how to apply these principles to your body and practice. Learn how to make your practice more than just a workout. Yoga is a healing modality and this weekend we will unlock many tools for you to use for your own practice and your students.

This will be a practical and experiential workshop appropriate for yoga teachers and serious students alike. The weekend is divided into two parts:

Day 1: Lower Body - for those who suffer from feet, knee and leg, hip and lower back injuries.
Day 2: Upper Body - we start at the lower back and move upwards to the upper back, shoulders, neck and arms.

You can do one or both sessions Teachers will earn up to 6 classroom hours of therapy training.

Anthony will address the most common misalignments in the most commonly performed poses. Once understood, these lessons can be used in the most advanced postures.

All levels are welcome!

A pioneer in the LA yoga community, Anthony has shaped his teaching over 24 years in the yoga studio. He is the founder of City Yoga which opened in 1999, one of the premiere independent yoga studios that changed the fabric of LA yoga. During that time he designed and led dozens of trainings, teaching hundreds of teachers from around the globe. He is known for his playful, innovative, yet traditional style of Hatha Yoga called Tantrika, which combines the alignment of Iyengar, the dynamism of Pattabhi Jois and the freedom of Tantric philosophy.

 Sound healing and medicinal mushroom pop-up cafe and workshop for health!

A shared community journey through the world of medicinal mushrooms,breath, movement, and a 60 min. sound bath meditation.

We invite you into the world of medicinal mushrooms and sound frequency to build immunity, strengthen chi, create a calm nervous system, enhance your cognition, and prevent disease. After a short visual presentation detailing the properties of various fungi, as well as a Q&A, we will directly contact the fungi kingdom through the avenue of homemade, On-the-spot, elixirs, "lattés", and drinks for you to taste and enjoy!

Afterwards, we will float into a special Sound Healing workshop from 4-7pm that is an extended version of the normal types of sound baths we do at the studio. Imagine the power of the Sound journey enhanced by the calming properties of functional mushrooms (non-hallucinogenic!) You will immerse yourself in the experience after having been beautifully led through some simple and relaxing movement and breath exercises by Stephen Winters of Samsara Wellness Center. Think of this as a more Ceremonial Approach to the whole experience. We are keeping attendance on the lower side in order to facilitate a deeper and connective journey for each participant. 

 

The addition of the mushrooms is designed to heighten the senses through the sharing of potent yet subtle plant pharmacology, from china and native to America, that have been used for hundreds of years to facilitate meditative and awakened states of consciousness, as well as build a strong immune system to ward off illness. 

Take a sonic musical and meditative journey designed to create DEEP REST in your nervous system utilizing the profound frequencies of the Gongs, Crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, Chimes, Ocean drum, and other vibrational instruments.  100% Organic Essential oils, blended by Docta Nick of Essential Oil Wizardry, will be woven into the moment as well.

Welcome in the the NEWY YEAR of 2018 by gifting yourself to a Saturday night treat. We invite you into the world of a mindful Tea ceremony and movement/breath practice to go along with the Soundweaving experience!

JANUARY 13th is a special Sound Healing workshop from 4-7pm that is an extended version of the normal types of sound baths we do at the studio. Think of this as a more Ceremonial Approach to the whole experience. We are keeping attendance on the lower side in order to facilitate a deeper and connective journey for each participant. 

We will begin gathering at 4pm on Saturday, JAN 13th until around 7pm. Imagine the power of the Sound journey you will immerse yourself in after having been beautifully led through some simple and relaxing movement and breath exercises by Stephen Winters of Samsara Wellness Center. We will be sampling high vibration teas from around the world in order to further open our bodies to receive the Sound Bath. There will also be Chinese herbal flower teas with no caffeine offered as well.

The addition of the tea is designed to heighten the senses through the sharing of potent yet subtle teas from china that have been used for hundreds of years to facilitate meditative and awakened states of consciousness. Some of these teas are 200 years old!

Shamanism is finding harmony with nature and yourself. The Earth is a living being who substains us. Our journey helps us come closer to our soul and helps us to integrate all aspects of ourselves.

All power comes from within.
You will develop an inner hearing so you can listen to the voices of nature. Release yourself from illusion and false beliefs. Inner potential to activate your imagination bring your dreams into reality. Improve personal relationships and learn about the Power animals as guides.

Studies have shown that practicing yoga throughout pregnancy has many benefits for you and your baby. Some benefits include: reducing anxiety and depression, alleviating pain and discomforts of pregnancy, improving muscle strength and flexibility for child birth, and speeding up postpartum recovery.

In this workshop, we will cover prenatal basics including benefits of yoga during pregnancy and how to keep you and baby safe. We will also guide you through a gentle supportive yoga class with focus on breathing exercises, relaxation, balance, circulation, digestion, and muscle tone for a healthy pregnancy. Each class will be unique, so feel free to sign up more than once!

This workshop is designed for women at any stage of pregnancy and no previous yoga experience is necessary. Prenatal Yoga is considered safe for mommy and baby, but is not recommended for high risk pregnancies (such as those at risk of premature labor). We recommend you consult your doctor before starting prenatal yoga.

In this workshop, we will dig deeper into the prenatal yoga practice - including benefits of yoga during pregnancy, how to keep you and baby safe, asana modifications, and sequence for you to take home! We will also guide you through a gentle supportive yoga class with focus on breathing exercises, relaxation, balance, circulation, digestion, and muscle tone for a healthy pregnancy. Each class will be unique, so feel free to sign up more than once!
